                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS TO
                   REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 300 BLOCK
                   OF CHESTNUT STREET, BEING ON THE SOUTHWEST LINE
                   OF CHESTNUT STREET AT WEST 4TH STREET, FROM R-3
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO C-3 CENTRAL BUSINESS ZONE,
                   SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located in the 300 block of
                Chestnut Street, being on the southwest line of
                Chestnut Street at West 4th Street.  Lot 2,
                Resubdivision of Part of Golden Gateway Urban
                Renewal Project No. Tennessee R-10, as shown by
                plat of record in plat book 46, page 199, ROHC;
                being part of the property described in deed book
                4163, page 464, ROHC.  Tax Map No. 135K-A-5.
               
               
         from R-3 Residential Zone to C-3 Central Business Zone.
        
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   Conformance with Kirkman Redevelopment Plan.
        
              2.   Dedication of right-of-way as required by City 
Traffic
                   Engineer.
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         provided by law.
